5.25%!  That's the rate that was quoted to me this week by the  Arizona State Credit Union for 15 and 30 year fixed-rate mortgages.  Jumbo loans, those loans that are larger than $400,000 are not far behind at all, with rates well under 6%.

Couple that with the lowest prices we have seen in years and you can see why it really, truly is the best time it has been in decades to buy a home in this country. 

Prices continue to drop in Prescott, and most sellers would just love to have someone to negotiate with, so if you are of the mind to buy, consider planning a trip out this spring and summer, when I suspect you will see the end of what has been the best market EVER.  Give me a call in advance, and I will plan a tour of homes that will knock your socks off!
