rightListing Commissions
Real estate brokers normally charge a commission, or a brokerage fee, for listing and selling your Prescott home. The rate varies, both by region and according to service level.  Like just about everything else in Prescott real estate, it is also negotiable.

The rate will be specified on your listing contract and will be paid out of your proceeds when you sell your Prescott home.

Executives at Realty Executives set their own commissions, which gives us enormous flexibility when we list your Prescott home.

If you are interested in listing your Prescott home, call us for a listing appointment and we will tell you exactly what we would charge to list your Prescott home and give you a detailed list of exactly what we will do to earn that commission.

Dori and I base our brokerage fee on the level of service we provide.  We offer high calibre, international marketing, something that is absolutely essential now, and truly go the extra mile to sell your Prescott home, providing exceptional service, every step of the way.  We also bring a high level of experience to the sale.  Our services in the end will save you money and peace of mind.

Discount commissions  Some brokers, like Help-U-Sell, for example, offer discount fees to list and sell your Prescott home.  Before you list with a discount brokerage, make sure you take the time to compare their costs and their services with those of a full service brokerage like Realty Executives.   You might discover that we can be quite competitive with the discount fee, or that the discount won't save you much money in the end.  We believe that the extra services we provide are more than worth what we charge.

How long to list?  We prefer to have at least 6 months to sell your Prescott home.  But if you are comfortable listing only for three months, in most cases, we are agreeable.  You can fire us anytime if you aren't happy with our services!

rightPaying commissions
It’s important to understand how commissions are earned, and when they are paid.  Your specific listing agreement will spell out the details.  In general, a broker is considered to have held up his end of the bargain when he brings you a “ready, willing and able” buyer.  If the broker finds such a buyer, and you change your mind and back out of the deal at the last minute, the broker is entitled to expect you to pay the commission anyway, since he did his job.
