Whew! It was hot today! 84 degrees this afternoon.  Looks like summer is almost here, and that means Downtown Prescott is abuzz!

Here's a taste of what's going on this summer!

We already had the Whisky Row Off-Road Mountain Bike Event and the Whisky Row Marathon.  They just get better every year, as does the Taste of Salsa event on the square.  Yummy!

In May we have the Prescott Farmers Market starting up again on Saturdays from 7:30 to Noon at the Yavapai College parking lot.  Lots of fresh food grown locally is to be found and enjoyed.

Garrison Keillor (the man with the velvet voice!) is also coming to Yavapai College on May 11th.  Will he be doing "A Prarie Home Companion?" Not sure.

My friend Dave Robertson will no doubt be attending the 5th Annual Highland Games, May 16th at Watson Lake, wearing his kilt and playing his bagpipe.  Go Dave!

And of course there will be lots of film exhibits, art exhibits, musical and dramatic productions (37 Postcards at PFAA) all month long.

Two big Native American Art exhibits are coming up, one at the Smoki starting May 29th and running through November, and one at Sharlot Hall Museum, running about the same length of time.

One of my favorite events is coming up on June 27-28: the Prescott Bluegrass Festival.  Not to be missed! 

Of course after that, the 122nd Annual World's Oldest Rodeo begins! Cowboy up!
