Here's an old post that is still relevant!!

I moved to Prescott, Arizona from the Phoenix area back in 1994 and I haven't looked back!  Actually, there was a time when my husband and I made a trip to the Northwest to find the "perfect" town.  We didn't find it until we came over the rise at Gurley and Marina Streets, saw the stately art deco style Hassayampa Inn to the right, the beautiful Prescott town square down below, and Thumb Butte in the distance!  The "perfect town" was the one we'd been living in all along!

People move to Prescott for a variety of reasons, but most of them have something to do with abundant sunshine, mild weather, trees, and a desire to live in a friendly, yet cosmopolitan place - It is afterall, "Everybody's Hometown."

I love the variety of living styles all within a small area.  There is the rural farm and horse property to the north in the town of Chino Valley, the new and growing town of Prescott Valley, which has brought to us much of our recent entertainment options, from hockey, to arena football, to major musical acts, and which is a good place to start a family, and the venerable Prescott itself, with its gorgeous old Victorians and tree-lined streets, its historic downtown, its mountains and pine trees, and its varied shopping experiences.  There are three colleges here: Embry Riddle University, Prescott College and Yavapai College, all of which provide the town with vibrant youth and many educational opportunities.  We also enjoy events like the Bluegrass Festival, Tsunami on the Square and the annual Shakespeare festival, as well as many weekend arts and crafts shows at the square.

I have children, so I also appreciate the number of schools available to choose from and the quality of the local schools.  Prescott Unified School District, for example, is a regular top performer in the entire state of Arizona.

Prescott and the Prescott area are fabulous places to live!  If you are considering moving here and want to know more about Prescott area real estate or just get to know Prescott, Prescott Valley or Chino Valley, please give me a call.  I'd love to be your guide.
